Great app that allows you to play heroes of the game if noone wants to play overlord. Some changes in the rules could be clearer which makes first couple times playing tougher, but understanding also comes with time. Main reason it's only 4 stars is I got a new phone this last summer, finally got my group together to play again, and the save data didn't transfer over nor can I see any way to do so. Fantasy Flight, we need a file transfer option. Either cloud based or exportable file.

I enjoy it so far but i am slightly confused on why the campaigns in the quest quides that come with the board game aren't featured in the app. I wanted to use the app to play through the quests in the guide as co-op with my wife and learn to play the game, buy instead we ended playing against each other as i have taken the role of overlord. otherwise it is a wonderful way of keeping track of abilities, experience, and inventory.

This app, in my opinion, is a requirement to making Descent more casual friendly. It helped me get my children interested in the world of "real" board games. My favorite aspect is the sound effects that gives each map life. A huge bonus is how the app manages your inventory, and skills. I'm really hoping the dev's, make more campaigns. There is a huge interest in this, from all the people I've talked to. I'm completely willing to pay for additional content.

Good game, takes most of the gm duties, so everyone can play. Works better with 4 players (or characters). Still it is a boardgame, so there is bookkeeping and upkeep that needs to be done. The needed addition is Valkyrie, which unfortunately now only works on a PC. That app has many made scenarios for this and for Mansions of Madness.

This app is a buggy mess on Android. Interactable tokens, doors, etc. only work half of the time, and sometimes the game board, monaters, etc. dont even spawn--you're just left with a blank screen and nothing for your heroes to do. I've tried using this app over the past few years, and each time I end up abandoning the game due to bugs. Very disappointing. I reached my limit in frustration this morning when the game failed to even load the map.

I love the boardgame and the app. I bought every physical and digital expansions. It worked well with my old Google Pixel 6 Pro, but it's not compatible with my new Google Pixel 9 Pro (I can't even the app, there is no "install" button). Now a part of the game and what I've paid for is unusable. 😭

The App allows you to have hours of fun with the board game in a completely different way to the base game, for free (initial campaign). I really enjoy the atmosphere and extra immersion created by the app. Overall I think its excellent. One major omission however is the lack of an 'undo' button in case you click the wrong button, please please add this. Also a dedicated save button to save exactly where you are is also another must. Would have been 5 stars if not for these two ommisions. Thanks

I will say this, the game is very contradictory. The idea is to be overwhelmed in the game by the overlord but not to feel like everything is wasted. Exploration is discouraged because each quest is put on a time limit but at the same time if you dont explore the game punishes you by increasing the difficulty exponentially. Also some of the side quest are to difficult for any amount of players. Monsters just keep spawning so nothing can be done. It makes the game irritating and not fun at all.4⭐
