I want to love this app and on some level I do. Having a library with a concept of a "work" separate from its performance is crucial for classical music and Idagio handles this splendidly. But playback has endless problems. Steaming will randomly stop, often between tracks. Sometimes tracks don't start at all even when my Internet is strong. Sonos is extremely broken. Doesn't play nice with other audio apps. Hard to recommend

Audio quality, curation are EXCELLENT but: Missing features which STILL make this a 3-star app: 1. Android Auto integration. YEARS of waiting and STILL missing. Very upset by this. 2. There is NO way to 'bookmark' a track when you pause it. (Android version). If I pause in the middle of a track, I want to pick up where I left off. 3. Let me 'favorite' the weekly mix playlists. I click on the 'heart' at the top of the playlist, when I go back later, the 'heart' is unchecked. Updated to 4 stars.

Another that has come here after being kicked from Primephonic...this app isnt perfect, but I would much rather this then go feed the giant that ate the old service. So far I really do like Idagio. The great sound quality is still there, you can anything. Its mostly easy to find things, but the browse could use some work on the app. Its hard to find anything unless you know exactly what or who you are looking for, so discovering new/similar composers isnt easy. Otherwise 👏

It is amazing how accessible and intuitive this app is. It is much easier to find classical pieces here than other streaming apps. Movement titles are displayed as well as the major work, composer, dates, and performers. If I wanted to listen to only the New York Philharmonic, I could do so by browsing their ENTIRE discography by year, or conductor. It has an option to listen based on your mood. You can also select playlists derived from specific epochs, (medieval, baroque, classical, etc.) You can discover new music, hear the most popular selections, or even listen to a playlist of a specific performer or soloist. I can't stress enough how powerful this resource is for lovers of classical music, especially performers and teachers. It is well worth its subscription fee.

Idagio is a godsend. It has really helped me to endure my long commutes to work. I would give it ten stars if I could. If I could provide one point of criticism: your ads. I absolutely LOVE them! I don't want a paid subscription because the woman in the ads has such an exquisite voice, and I would miss hearing her. If you want to increase your subscribership, make the ads more irritating.

I've read some of the critical reviews of this app. I don't understand them. It has brought a huge amount of pleasure to my life. The curation is amazing. The weekly sampling has opened up new vistas of music for me. I am not an audio connoisseur. I listen to the music on a Bluetooth speaker or headphones. For me, the reproduction value is just fine. I strongly recommend it if you are not a classical music or audio snob.

I like it, I can live with such enough collections since I prefer to discover things. But there's a few problem with the UI/UX. There's no gesture control, like switching pages, hiding the music player, etc. No "show all" option in discover page. And lastly, no "sort" and "filter".

I thank you for allowing a brief period to explore Idagio and what it has to offer. The interface is really nice, the app overall is easy to use and the sound quality is excellent. However, Idagio falls short on the number of albums in the library. For instance, I am a connoisseur of the music of Vaughan William's and have discovered a large number of CD's and pieces missing that are included in Spotify. Also, the number of albums and music of the Renaissance is about 1/6 that of your competitor. As for artists, those whose music is recorded on the Hyperion, Naxos or Marco Polo labels are few., and recordings on the old Phillips and London labels are also limited. I approximate that Idagio's library is about at or below 1/2 of Spotify's. That is why, for now, I gave you app 3 stars.
