Knotwords is a minimal and elegant logic puzzle — with words.

The rules are simple: arrange the letters in each section so every word is valid, across and down.

Each puzzle may seem difficult at first — but like all my favorite newspaper puzzles, it gets easier as you progress. Each step guides you naturally towards the solution.

This is the kind of game I've been trying to make my whole career — I'm amazed Jack and I discovered this design. We hope you like it.

this is the second year in a row my has mysteriously been revoked a couple of weeks before renewal. last year the devs dragged their feet responding until after the renewal date so i was forced to pay for another year before the problem could be evaluated. this year i'm just going to cut my losses and run. the app itself has astounding load times for something that should run offline. puzzles are repetitive or deliberately obtuse. used to be good but it's not worth it anymore.

A great game hamstrung by performance. Knotwords is a brilliant mix of crosswords and Sudoku that makes for a compelling experience. However, the performance seems to have got worse over time, to the point where it's almost unplayable. Pauses of 5-10 seconds in menu transitions are commonplace, and menu buttons are unresponsive and have to be pressed multiple times. During gameplay the performance is mainly fine, but getting in and out of the game can take longer than the time spent playing.

Great game, but has become unusable. As noted in recent reviews, game has become laggy over time; freezes a lot making it a frustrating experience. As of this morning (Happy New Year!), its become unplayable: I just get a blue screen when trying to play the daily challenges and I eventually have to force-quit. Enough people have commented on issues; there's clearly something wrong! Shame if this is the end of the line for me playing, I'll miss my daily Knotwords...

Daily puzzles are enjoyable and sometimes tricky. The mini always starts the same level but the classic increases in size/difficulty through the week. I play in the morning to make sure I don't fall back asleep. I didn't pay for pro so the puzzles are limited to the two daily ones which is totally fine because I can't just avoid work and play endlessly (though it'd be worth it). Still, totally ad free ❤️ There are nice options to customize the gameplay, music volume, etc.

Retracting my previous positive review, because the game has become completely unresponsive. It loads and lets me select a daily puzzle, but then stalls on the blue landing page, just as other s have described. The page with the monthly games doesn't load at all: I get an alert that I need to update, even though I just reinstalled. I paid for this game and cannot play it.

The game is fun and provides some nice puzzles. It is a bit clunky with technical glitches and requires a lot of taps to select the right spot. Limited game modes means it feels a bit stale, and themed play is only in monthly puzzles and repeat frequently. I had a 3 month streak of dailies, but latest bug with monthly puzzles being broken made me realize I wasn't having a lot of fun anymore. Would reinstall later if more modes or themes are introduced and some of the bugs and clunkiness fixed

A very unique and deligthful kind of word puzzle. Comes with daily new content. Edit to add: 2025 comes and suddenly the game keep asking to update to non-existent version to play puzzle book. Also the game's saving on Google Play is incomplete, despite every time saying "Progress is saved", causing loss of progress and records after reinstallation.

Down from 5 to 2. As of January 1st there are no more monthly puzzlebooks. A message appears which says "You need to update" but the update didn't change anything. Also, the faulty cursor navigation is quite annoying and it hasn't been fixed for a very long time now. Shame, because the concept is really great.
