Really good! Actually better than the discontinued Verizon Message+ app. Lots of settings to fine-tune the various fonts to make things big enough to read. Choices of background colors. Looks like you get 2 weeks ad-free, then option of one-time purchase to buy ad-free Pro version (not subscription), which I did because I like to developers who make useful apps. I didn't see a way to buy it *before* the 2 weeks.

When Verizon message plus announce that it was closing down in November I had to find a replacement. I use it on my personal phone and my work cell phone, and it has a lot of customizable features that I really could not find in almost any other messaging app. This one lets me adjust everything as far as what it looks like what it behaves like what it sounds like, most importantly I can enable a pop-up screen that shows up over top of my lock screen that I can type into and answer.

I really think that Verizon Messages used to use this as their own, so for those of you who got dumped by Verizon Messenger, this is pretty much the same thing, only better. It has every feature I've ever needed. It can: 1. schedule future messages. 2. delay sending messages for up to ten seconds after hitting send. 3. customize favorite s by color and notification sound. 4. allow you to pin your favorite s to the top of the list so you don't have to scroll for them. It's perfect.

I love Chomp. It is a really good app. I had Verizon text messages, but they discontinued the app. So I was forced to find another app. I have searched and tried several other apps, there was always an issue of notifying you that you had a text or you couldn't send pictures plus you could not personalize them. This lets you at least choose a theme and can customize a notification tone. I just wish it would let me do more customizations.

OK interface but no replacement for message plus. While you can customize the background for the home screen and have a different image for a chat, there is only one image. On message plus I was able to customize each individual chat with a different background. Also, creating a new messages is tedious. it does not allow me to see a list of potential people to send a message to or who is in any chat just how many people are in it. Can customize ringtones and notifications for each person

I love this app. It is a great replacement for the Verizon messaging app. I am having a few problems, though, in that some pictures do not come through to me. Would love better definition between different texts. I am seventy, and my vision isn't as good as it used to be. Thank you, Delicious. I looked at several apps, and this is the best that I could find to replace the Verizon app.

After getting a text from Chomp, I fixed my Samsung Android phone...it did not have text messaging on, after I clicked the button, Chomp is working fine now. I really like Chomp, it is so easy to read the texts and most importantly when you get a text that is not wanted, just go to the "blocklist" and that's all you have to do. Thanks Chomp!

I had to replace message+. Verizon was suggesting google messages, but I read some online convos and decided to try "chomp". So far so good. I backed up my messages just in case, but upon opening chomp and letting it become my default texting app all of my messages transferred. Chomp has good customization and no third party info sharing. *Update: There's no thumbnail photos to scroll through in conversations, can only see one pic at a time so it's kinda frustrating when I want to find a picture
