For learning Tamil it's better than nothing and supposed to be the best app for the language. However it's well short of Duolingo's design. In particular learning something in one lesson feels pretty disconnected from what you learn in the next one, it doesn't build/reinforce it as much as I'd like. At the end of each lesson they also do these exercises where they introduce a whole bunch of new words and other concepts at once which gets confusing/overwhelming. Hope to see it refined.

After paying for a 6 month subscription to this app I discovered there were many issues with the translations. Many were wrong, either slightly or even completely wrong. The more I progressed through the lessons the worse it got. In many cases the voice speaking would be saying completely different words to what were written on the screen making it impossible to use. I reported many of these issues to the developers but over the course of 6 months they were not fixed. Incredibly disappointed.

A decent attempt at a multilingual learning app, but it comes up short. It is poorly localized, attempting to shoehorn all languages into the same curriculum, for example trying to teach "cousin" instead of using tamil's native kinship . Plus, sometimes the example sentence for a vocab item does not contain the word in question. The voice recognition feature is very inaccurate and gives poor . This makes the chatbot useless. And the d writing mode does not seem to exist.

I am glad to find an app that I can learn my husband's first language! It's very helpful but there are some things I'd love to see as improvements: - I used to use the general Ling app then when I ed the Tamil specific Ling app, all my progress is corrupt and had to start over. - I wish I had the option like the general Ling app to not use Tamil characters in lessons, rather the Tamil words instead.

I'm trying to learn Tamil through the app. The translations aren't direct and there's no explanation of tenses, just feels like I'm supposed to guess it and hope I learn it as I go. I asked my mum about some of the phrases, where it says "I go shopping" in the app, she said it translated closer to "I am going to the shop to buy things". Also there's no alphabet so am I just meant to guess what these letters mean based on the sounds? That could be a relatively easy and very beneficial addition
