I just went from 4 stars to one. I originally got the pro app for free thru a portion my instructor at LARS told us about. It was great. Options were many. Quality also great with many great features for editing and compiling. When I changed to this phone I had to it again and it didn't the pro version. It also doesn't work at all! For some reason the record button is unresponsive. I'm heartbroken. I used this app for recording all my ambient sound and live music too. Now what?

The once great recorder software has lived to become rotten... maybe it was purchased from the original dev by to be monetized harder, but something is off. If you can avoid updates for it, definitely do. Don't fall for the BS excuses for feature removals, guarantee they come back but only as paid features or as a new app. 👎 I don't begrudge the original dev compensation but the one time pro purchase already had ads stacked onto it, now it's trying to extract more money. Not worth it.

I love this app, it's the best recording app on the market. Everything stopped working after January 2022 system update. This app has been working fine on my Note 20 5g. Now I can open the app, but there are no sound recordings listed, even though I've recorded hundreds. I can tap the record icon but I get no spectograph and no recording. Just the same screen that looks like I'm about to start a recording. I'd pay to have this fixed.

It's really good at what it does, but it doesn't warn you well enough that it is in PREVIEW mode and that you have to click the check before itll actually record a thing. This drives me up the walls! I try to record some birds just to find that after they have flown away, it was only in preview mode! I hope they make it to where I can turn the preview off, I don't use it often enough to that is has a preview, and I constantly lose unrecoverable sounds.

Despite the instructions in Help, I could not find the files anywhere on my phone; no search engine could, I tried 4 methods. I attempted to Share to my cloud drive but it failed: File corrupt Unless you are using the recorded audio files on your phone only, this app is worthless. It does have great graphics and other features, but your files are there forever. I'm trying something else until they get this fixed.

I recorded a lecture with this app that lasted about 40 minutes. And now more than an hour later, I still have no result and I cannot save the recording to a file because it is still, "writing the metadata". So if you hope to record anything in a reasonable time frame behind a previous recording of any length, you can forget about it. And if this writing data process takes much longer, I guess I will just uninstall it, and lose my recording in the process. Bummer.

Was 5 stars. Hasn't worked since Jan 2022 update. Won't record, won't show old recordings,.... Attempted to developer but got no response. PLEASE FIX THIS APP. Will gladly give 5 stars if it simply works as before. Old review: --- True stereo recording on Samsung S10 using internal mics. Sound quality is surprisingly good when recording rehearsals (device positioning is key).

I love rec forge II. It's my favorite recording app and I've tried many. But since the new update on January 17, 2022 nothing works for me. Can't record, can't access the files I've recorded in the past, and can't play old files. Just wanted to let you know so hopefully these issues can be resolved and we can get back to the great app this had been. I'll change my review to five stars once they fix the bugs.
