Yesterday I tried to see the northern lights and failed. Then I thought: NOAA's data is surely free to use. Idea for an app, something that uses you location to ping you when the 1h forecast is good! This app does that and much more, and I'm glad it offers an add-free pro version. Now if only they could strongly state that no personal data is collected and shared, and only the necessary for the functionality is ever used, this app would be exactly what I'd wished for.

It was great... Used it while vacationing in Alaska and saw the lights twice... Would have been 3 times if I had figured out sooner that my phone was not allowing alerts while do not disturb was on. I added permission for the app to alert anyway, but it didn't work. Not sure if that was my phone or the app. Either way . Very happy. I knew before the hotel staff did.

App worked pretty much flawlessly. Aurora appeared every time I received an alert. It usually gives an hour window when they should appear. For me, sometimes I saw them immediately. Other times it took as much as 1.5 hrs. But they always showed up. Spent a week in Reykjavik, Iceland and saw lights 4 nights in a row. Absolutely incredible!
Pretty accurate. Paired with my other astrophotography weather tracking app (Astropheric) it's been right 85% of the time within an hour, even in Washington State where our weather changes by the minute. Worth upgrading to the pro version.

Great app. Probably would have missed the Northern Lights outside Tromso without it and gone to bed. But setting my location and seeing the percentage increase made me go outside and it was amazing. Good value to pay extra to remove the ads.

Absolutely must have if you willing to shot aurora. While it is extremely useful to use it when planning to get view tonight don't forget params might change dynamically any minute so don't forget to follow BZ, solar wind speed and KP together. Read some easy tutorials which might give you some spectacular shots even when KP is low. Would suggest to extend app to display some params as widgets directly on your main screen. That's why I am giving 4 out of 5 stars

Easy to use, its percentage of chance to see Aurora I find accurate. So when you run outside, it takes your eyes about 15 minutes to adapt to total darkness for best viewing when they are faint and near the horizon.

Great app. Has lots of useful info. Love ability to set alerts if high KP. Great to see solar wind data.
