The sock gave us false alerts almost every night, so we stopped using it as the sock was causing us more anxiety and to lose sleep. Since then we've used the camera, which used to work ok (but no better than cheap alternatives), and then in the last couple of weeks, video live view just won't load, videos recordings were triggered but videos weren't available and then for the last 4 days the video isn't working at all (but the device is connected to our WiFi with good signal).

Wish I read the reviews, I should have done more research, the camera is awful even though I have fibre (my partner is work from home dev) and my partner ensures we have the best speeds so before they try and say its my WiFi... It's NOT. Connection dips in and out. If you accidentally click off the app, you have to force stop it. otherwise, you can not go back and view the live feed again. Forget using full screen. I maybe got it working 3 times. The notifications are hit and miss.

Agree with others, had an excellent experience until recently. Now the app goes offline, can't connect, spins for a long time unable to connect and then you need to kill it and it comes back. It will then loss connection again after a few minutes and same solution. It can no longer be used as a monitor, more for periodic check ins

Started off great, now doesn't work. Just like most people here, bought the camera & sock (from recommendations). For the first year & a half, everything was fantastic, both gave peace of mind & reassurance. However, my troubles started first with the sock - it started to play up (right around the time you would want to purchase the larger sock). The camera, it's been fine until recently - now not connecting to WiFi (kept thinking it's me), & now I can't even ! It's now completely useless!

The camera is extremely unreliable, more miss than hit. Will randomly drop in and out of connection without any changes being made to either the camera, WiFi or app. Honestly, you're better off buying a cheap ~£40 monitor off Amazon which we have already done as no amount of fancy features can make up for reliability.

It is nice to see the recent measured values from the sensor (if you can wait half a minute for the app to "connect") but the alarms which are supposed to make you check your child are worse than useless. The last "yellow alarm" sounded on my phone six hours(!) after it was raised on the base station. (This is on Pixel 7a and no, it was not a new alarm, I happened to be standing right next to the thing.)

Edit: a recent update has meant battery is drained at a phenomenal rate, forcing me to force stop the app in order to use my phone normally. Otherwise an average experience. Setting up initially felt like an exercise in futility, but that may have been because the hardware was secondhand. The Sock app can be slow to connect, sometimes taking 30 seconds or more to load. In addition, if the sock goes out of range, you can't dismiss the yellow alert from the app without getting back in range.

It's great when it works. The camera and sock are fantastic and the layout feels clean, but often have trouble linking up with the app. The app often has trouble loading and most of the time I have to close and reopen it again to get it working. Changing settings is a dice roll on whether or not it will stick. I changed the light for the camera back and forth 6+ times before it finally stayed off. The light would remain on even after relaunching the app, where the setting said it was off.
